About The Church 2018-01-05T11:51:37+00:00

Our journey began in the spring of 03. A small group of people gather at the Rainbow Springs State Park and Dunnellon Community Church was formed. Our community didn’t need another church, just one that was different. The church people had plenty of churches to attend- what we needed was a church for the rest of us. We are committed to relevant truth, not religious tradition. We want to lead people into a relationship with God as well as help people discover a life purpose and enjoy the journey.

When you experience one of our Sunday gatherings it will be a casual atmosphere with non judgmental, glad to see you people. The music will sound like what you already listen to and the speaker will be clear and easy to understand.  Our goal is to connect you to God with life changing information and inspiration.

We are highly committed to affect the youth of our community. We are designing ministries and programs just for them. We believe this new generation deserves our best energy.

The best is yet to come. It is obvious that we have an opportunity to have a significant impact on our community.  We recently purchased prime property to construct our new facilities. We have a great future; we hope Dunnellon Community Church will be a part of your future.

Josh and Angi grew up in various parts of Florida and Georgia. Josh has a bachelor’s degree in Marine Science and a Florida teaching certificate, while Angi’s education is in social work. They married in 2000 and are raising 2 children. Josh works as a teacher at the Marine Science Station in Crystal River. He infuses science and humor into the DCC kids ministry. Angi homeschools their children and devotes her spare time helping various homeless shelters and food drives in Marion County and surrounding areas. They started attending DCC in 2008 and began leading the children’s ministry in 2011. They teach kids, of all ages, how much God loves them and how they can show God’s love to others. They use an engaging, multimedia presentation to show kids how relevant Gods teachings are today and how His grace saves everyone, no matter what.

Born in Indianapolis, Rick felt called to preach at the young age of 14. Tami grew up singing with her family in Ft. Worth, Texas. High school sweethearts, Rick and Tami married in 1978 and raised 3 children. In the spring of 2003, together with a small group of people, they gathered at Rainbow springs Park. The community had enough churches to attend, they wanted to create a place for the rest of us. Ricks casual teaching style focuses on heart-centered messages. You will find Tami singing in the worship band and praying for those in need. Together they lead Dunnellon Community Church and teach the community that “it’s not about a religion, it’s about a relationship”.
